Nashville: Hillsboro Village
We had visited Hillsboro Village a couple different times on the trip, grabbing lunch or exploring after an open mic night. We actually came back here for our last few hours before our flight home. It is such a cool area with so many restaurants, coffee shops, and boutiques! Every time we came, we drove by Belmont University. The buildings there are gorgeous!
We randomly discovered Belcourt Theatre, and it’s a really cool place! It started out as a theatre to show silent movies, but it now shows indie movies and hosts film events. If we had more time, we would have tried to see one of the films!
We ate at The Grilled Cheeserie for lunch one day and Proper Bagel for our last breakfast. Both places had awesome gluten free and vegan options. We also noticed a huge line outside The Pancake Pantry - it was literally wrapped around the block. We hadn’t heard of that place before, but it must be good! We stopped by Jeni’s Splendid Ice Cream - you could literally smell the waffle cones being cooked fresh from outside the shop!
We loved exploring some of the boutiques, especially Pangaea. It reminded us of the shops we visited in Haight Street in San Francisco this past summer. It was very bohemian with gifts and home decor from around the world. We bought a few souvenirs while we were there! It was a great way to end our time in Nashville.
